Editing and Critiquing Services for Writers
have a long résumé that covers my education, writing projects (for theatre as well as a freelance writer and photographer and teacher), and you are welcome to read it in its entirety (done as a PDF file).
However, for those of you who prefer a quicker read, I've composed a briefer document (it will open in a new window).
My background in writing is both wide and deep. I have degrees from Harvard College, Cornell Univeristy, and New York University, ranging from American History and Literature to an MFA in dramatic writing. I have taught basic composition classes for many years to adults in continuing education and community college (a course I delight in teaching). I ran my own freelance writing business, Full Court Press, where, like the Beatles' "Paperback Writer," I made my work as long or as short as the client wanted. (Such freelance work is both humbling and instructive, or, better said, instructive because humbling). I have garnered awards for my theatre scripts and screenplays (still waiting, though, for the "overnight sensation" transformation to occur) and have a monthly column in an arts-oriented online publication, Scene4 (clicking on the link will open a new window). And so much more. (If you've a great deal of time on your hands, you can read more of my work (again, the link will open a new window).
"In composing...run your pen through every other word you have written; you have no idea what vigor it will give your style."
